Karlahan is a Symphonic Progressive Death Metal band from Barcelona formed in late 2006. They recorded their first demo song called ‘Twilight’ in 2007. In 2008 the band travelled to Helion Studios (Munich, Germany) to take part in Equilibrium’s Sagas recordings, and afterwards they were invited as special guests to the german Helion Festival the same year (w/ Equilibrium, Helfahrt, Sycronomica, Dark Seed and Varg). In 2009 the band finally recorded their first EP, A Portrait Of Life with wich defined their style as Symphonic-Melodic Death Metal with some folk elements. Scott McLean (Falloch) took part as a composer and musician in some parts. Also worked as producer, mixing and mastering the EP.

A Portrait Of Life had a very good acceptance in the international background and received lots of great ratings and reviews both nationally and internationally. After many changes in the band’s lineup and style, they released their first studio videoclip and single Skyline and played at the Slovenian festival Metaldays the same year (2013).

Currently, Karlahan is producing their first LP called Exile. Recorded at The Room BCN, and mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö in Unisound Studios (Sweden). The album also counts with the special appearance of several guests musicians, such as:

  • Dan Swanö
  • Scott McLean (Falloch)
  • Nuria -Lady Nott- Luis (Arcana, Der Blaue Reiter, Narsilion)
  • Vocal choir “El Cor de la Vall” (Barcelona)
